About
Daniel McIntyre began his musical journey in 2008, focusing on piano performance. His dedication to the craft led him to West Chester University in Pennsylvania, where he earned a degree in music and performed extensively in solo and ensemble settings. A highlight of his undergraduate career was performing David Maslanka's Symphony No. 4 at Carnegie Hall with the WCU Wind Ensemble.
In 2018, Mr. McIntyre pursued a Master of Music in Piano Performance at the University of Colorado, Boulder. There, he developed a deep appreciation for lesser-known 20th-century Russian works and frequently performed in recitals, ensembles, and master classes. His time at CU Boulder also marked the beginning of his exploration into composition.
Immersing himself in the art, Mr. McIntyre honed his ability to create evocative and dynamic works across various genres, from solo piano to orchestral music to music in multimedia. His compositions often reflect a deep emotional connection, blending traditional techniques with modern influences to craft scores that resonate with audiences.
Currently, Mr. McIntyre is building a robust portfolio in film and television scoring, participating in international scoring competitions, and collaborating on independent projects. He recently refined his multimedia composition skills at the prestigious Fusion Film Scoring Workshop in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Mr. McIntyre is committed to creating compelling, emotionally resonant music, whether through live performance or composing for the screen.
